The staircase was a castered unit that was pushed on from SR. It was guided in a track. The railing for this staircase was a poplar bendable railing. It came in strips and we clamped it to the proper radius and glued it up.

| The drop above was a scenic netting with a bunch of flower blossoms , held on with hot glue. The flowers were flame proofed in house. The greenery was painted paper that was also flame proofed. This set was a hemp set that was spotted. |

As we entered the season, Roger Rees, the Artistic Director, wanted to create a house set that would help in filling the space, and limit the scope of the scenery. The discussions ended in these portals, and rake. The pitch of the rake was 3/4" for every foot. Platforms were standard 2x4 construction. We covered the deck in homasote to help with sound, and then had a masonite show deck.
| The portals were Hollywood flats and were skinned in a stained birch plywood. During this season, the designers were allowed to adjust the size of each portal opening. The legs were bolted to the headers. The portals never flew during shows, and were only taken out during changeovers. |
